Prof. José Lavandero García was born on October 12, December 1944, and graduated as Electrical Engineer at the University of Havana in 1968. He obtained his PhD in Technical Sciences in 1985. He is also full professor and Professor Emeritus of the Higher Technical Institute of Havana “José Antonio Echeverría”.
His work has always been linked to academic responsibilities such as Director, Sub- director, Instructor, Teaching Vicedean, Dean and Vice-president of the Higher Technical Institute “José A. Echevarría”, and he is currently the Vicepresident of the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI). He carries out different tasks in collaboration and exchange projects with the United Kingdom, Germany, Chile, Canada, Sweden, The Netherlands, Spain, France, Malaysia, Venezuela, among others.
He has more than 28 publications and presentations in events such as seminars, workshops and international conferences. Besides, he has also taken over multiple tasks on the academic management area at university levels. He has an important participation in committees, national examining boards and scientific councils.
